This position is based in Dalhart, TX.
DESCRIPTION
Assess and evaluate residents’ needs for medical, psychosocial and personal care. Initiates and implements all phases of the nursing process. Delivers and documents resident care. OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens Class I.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
•Initiates and implements all phases of the nursing process.
•Delivers safe resident care while executing physician orders under the direction of the Director of Nursing.
•Documents all information relevant to resident care.
•Maintains communications as required with other staff members and resident family members.
•Makes rounds and assesses care needs for residents, ensuring residents’ dignity and rights at all times.
•Ensures a safe resident environment, including implementing and adhering to infection control and safety procedures.
•Performs operational support duties as required.
REQUIREMENTS
•Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Vocation or Professional Nursing.
•Experience: One year’s experience in a medical setting preferred.
•Licensed by the State of Texas as a Vocational or Registered Nurse.
•CPR Certification required.
